Dashboard
The dashboard is your command center — the first thing you see when you log in. At a glance, it surfaces what matters most right now: the tasks you need to tackle today, an AI-generated briefing of your workload, key stats, and a live view of your active projects.
Overview
The dashboard is composed of six key sections, each designed to give you a different lens on your work without requiring you to dig through menus or run manual reports.
Today's Focus
Today's Focus shows every task whose scheduledDate matches the current date, as well as any tasks you have explicitly pinned. WorkWiz filters this list automatically — there is nothing to configure. When you start your day, this card is the single place to look.
You can mark tasks complete directly from the dashboard without opening the full task detail view. Check off a task and it disappears from the list, keeping your focus card clean as the day progresses.
Tasks move into Today's Focus from any project or the global task list. To schedule a task for today, open the task and set its Scheduled Date to today's date.
AI Morning Briefing Pro Business
Every morning, WorkWiz's AI reads across your entire task and project dataset and composes a concise, plain-English briefing tailored to you. The briefing is broken into three themes:
- Urgent items — tasks that are overdue or due very soon and still in progress or blocked.
- At-risk projects — projects whose completion percentage is low relative to upcoming deadlines.
- Quick wins — tasks that are estimated to take little time and are unblocked, ideal for building early momentum.
The briefing is available on Pro and Business plans. On the Free plan, the card is visible but displays a prompt to upgrade.
Stats Row
The stats row sits near the top of the dashboard and gives you four headline numbers drawn from live data across your workspace.
| Stat | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Total Tasks | All tasks in your workspace, across every status and project. |
| Active Projects | Projects that are currently in progress and have at least one open task. |
| Overdue | Tasks with a due date in the past that are not yet DONE or CANCELLED. |
| Completed This Week | Tasks moved to DONE status within the current calendar week (Monday to Sunday). |
Each stat card is clickable and navigates to a pre-filtered view of the underlying tasks or projects so you can act on the numbers immediately.
Urgent Tasks
The Urgent Tasks card surfaces every task in your workspace whose priority is set to URGENT and whose status is not yet DONE or CANCELLED. These tasks bypass normal prioritization and appear here regardless of which project they belong to.
Use this card as a forcing function: if something appears here, it should be the first thing you open. You can update the priority of a task directly from this card to remove it from the list once the urgency has passed.
Active Projects
The Active Projects section displays your top active projects ranked by recent activity. Each project row shows:
- Project name and client (if assigned)
- A completion percentage based on the ratio of DONE tasks to total tasks in the project
- A visual progress bar reflecting that percentage
- A green / yellow / red status indicator based on deadline proximity
Click any project row to navigate directly to its project detail page. The list shows up to six projects by default; use the Projects page for a full overview of all projects.
