Settings
Customize WorkWiz to match your timezone, working schedule, and communication preferences. All settings are personal to your account unless noted otherwise.
Account settings
The Account tab at Settings → Account lets you update the core details associated with your WorkWiz profile.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Your display name shown to teammates and in activity feeds. |
| The email address used for login and notifications. Changing your email triggers a verification step — your old address remains active until the new one is confirmed. | |
| Timezone | Your local timezone. This affects how due dates, reminders, and the Planner view display times. Always set this correctly to avoid deadline confusion when collaborating across time zones. |
| Working days | Select which days of the week you work (Monday through Sunday, any combination). The Planner and AI Co-pilot use this to schedule tasks only on your active days. |
| Week start | Choose whether your week begins on Monday or Sunday. This changes how calendar grids and weekly views are rendered throughout the app. |
Changing your password
You can update your password at any time from Settings → Password. After a successful password change, all existing sessions across every device are immediately invalidated and you will be signed out everywhere.
- 1Go to Settings → Password
Navigate to the Password tab in your account settings.
- 2Enter your current password
Confirm your identity by providing your existing password. This step cannot be skipped.
- 3Enter and confirm a new password
Type your new password and repeat it in the confirmation field. Your password must be at least 10 characters long. There is no maximum length — use a passphrase for better security. WorkWiz never stores your password in plain text; it is hashed using bcryptjs before being saved.
- 4Save and sign back in
Click Update password. You will be signed out of all active sessions immediately and redirected to the login page. Sign in with your new password to continue.
Notifications
WorkWiz sends email notifications for key events in your workspace. You can control which notifications you receive from Settings → Notifications.
| Notification type | Description |
|---|---|
| Task assignments | Sent when a task is assigned to you or re-assigned away from you. |
| Due date reminders | A reminder email the day before a task or project is due, based on your configured timezone. |
| Comments | Sent when someone comments on a task you created or are assigned to, or when you are @mentioned. |
| Team invitations | Sent when you are invited to join a workspace by another user. |
In addition to email, the in-app notification inbox (bell icon in the header) receives all notification events. From the inbox you can mark individual notifications as read, mark all as read at once, or clear your notification history. Unread notifications are counted and displayed as a badge on the bell icon.
Integrations
The Integrations tab in Settings lets you connect and disconnect third-party services such as calendar apps, communication tools, and storage providers. Connected integrations enhance the AI Co-pilot and unlock additional automations throughout the app.
For a full list of available integrations and step-by-step connection guides, see the Integrations documentation.
Billing
The Billing tab shows your current plan, usage against plan limits, and subscription renewal date. From here you can upgrade your plan, open the Stripe billing portal to update your payment method or download invoices, and cancel your subscription.
For a full explanation of plans, pricing, and feature gates, see the Billing & Plans documentation.
Dark mode
WorkWiz supports three theme modes: Light, Dark, and System (follows your operating system preference). The theme toggle is located in the top navigation bar — click the sun/moon icon to cycle through the options. Your preference is saved to your browser and persists across sessions on the same device.
The System option is the default for new accounts. If your OS is set to dark mode, WorkWiz will automatically render in dark mode; switching your OS preference updates the app in real time.
Danger zone
The account deletion option is located at the bottom of Settings → Account under the Danger zone heading. You are required to type your account email address as a confirmation step before deletion proceeds.
